Mindfulness Research News

A recent study published in JAMA Psychiatry showed that an 8-week mindfulness-based course had comparable effectiveness in treating anxiety as a common anti-anxiety medication.

Another recent research study in JAMA Psychiatry discovered that people who studied mindfulness for 8 weeks with a counselor experienced a 17.5% greater improvement in depressive symptoms than those who received cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a standard treatment for depression.
